Cowarts, AL

Cowarts is a small town located in Baldwin County, Alabama. The population was 1,859 at the 2010 census. Cowarts is known for its beautiful antebellum homes and plantations. The town was founded in 1836 by James W. Cowart and named for his father-in-law, Colonel John Cowart of South Carolina.
