Williams, AZ

Williams is a small town located in the eastern part of Pinal County, Arizona. The population was 1,811 at the 2010 census. Williams is known for its hot springs and natural beauty. The town was founded in 1892 by a group of Mormon pioneers who named it after William Wirt Williams, a U.S. Senator from Missouri.

Real estate in Williams is primarily residential with some commercial development along Main Street and Highway 89A. There are several subdivisions and single-family homes available for purchase or lease. Median home prices range from $128,000 to $239,900 according to Zillow data as of March 2019.

The local economy is based largely on agriculture and tourism with hot springs being a major attraction for visitors from around the country and world. Several hotels have been built in recent years to accommodate the influx of tourists looking to soak up the natural hot springs baths that are available at several locations within town limits including the municipal pool complex on East Avenue and Spring Canyon Hot Springs on Highway 89A just outside of town limits near Safford Lake State Park .

There are several schools located within Williams including Pinal County High School (PCHS) which serves students from grades 9-12 as well as an Early College Academy (ECA). There are also two churches - The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (LDS) and Grace Bible Church - both located on Main Street .

The community has strong ties with its neighboring townships such as Safford, Globe, Florence Junction, Coolidgeville , Apache Junction , Queen Creek , Maricopa , Chandler , Tempe , Phoenix , Prescott Valley and Yuma . These townships provide support through social events such as block parties and holiday celebrations while also sharing resources such as fire departments, police departments, libraries and parks .
