Poplar Grove is a small town in Pulaski County, Arkansas. The population was 1,898 at the 2010 census. It is located in the northeast corner of the county and is bordered by Little Rock to the south and east, Jacksonville to the north, and Jacksonville Hills to the west.
The town was founded in 1881 as a railroad stop on the Little Rock & Fort Smith Railroad. The name Poplar Grove was chosen because of a large poplar tree near where the town was established. A post office has been in operation at Poplar Grove since 1881.
