Searcy, AR

Searcy is a small town located in the northwest corner of Arkansas. The population was just over 2,000 in the 2010 census. Searcy is known for its agricultural and industrial heritage, as well as its proximity to Little Rock. The town's economy has been diversified in recent years, with businesses such as Tyson Foods and Walmart locating here. Searcy is also home to the Searcy County Fairgrounds, which hosts events such as rodeos and concerts.

Real estate in Searcy is dominated by single-family homes and small apartment complexes. The average price of a home in the town was $128,000 in 2016, while the median price was $119,000. There are a limited number of properties available for sale, and most of these are occupied by families who have lived in the town for many years. There is little new development taking place in Searcy at this time; however, there are plans to build a new shopping center on Highway 412 that will include a grocery store and other retail outlets.
