Elk, CA

Elk is a small town located in the Sierra Nevada foothills, about an hour east of Sacramento. The population was just over 2,000 in 2010. Elk is known for its natural resources, including skiing and fishing. It's also a popular tourist destination because of its proximity to Yosemite National Park and the Giant Sequoia National Monument.
