Emeryville, CA

Emeryville is a city located in the East Bay region of the San Francisco Bay Area, in Alameda County, California. Emeryville was founded by Joseph Emery in 1884 and incorporated as a town in 1894. The population was 48,839 at the 2010 census.

The city is known for its high-tech industry and its many universities, including the University of California, Berkeley. It has been called "the most ethnically diverse city in America" and has a large and thriving arts community. The name Emeryville is derived from Joseph Emery's first name and his last name (Emery) combined.

Real estate prices have increased dramatically over the past few years in Emeryville due to its proximity to both San Francisco and Oakland as well as its many amenities such as public transportation, parks, shopping districts, restaurants and nightlife. There are currently several new developments underway or under construction that will continue to increase real estate prices even more over time.
