Inyokern, CA

Inyokern is a small town located in the Inyo National Forest, about an hour east of Yosemite National Park. The town was founded in 1892 by George W. Inyokern and his wife, Flora. The town's name is derived from the Yokern Indian word for "meadow." Today, Inyokern has a population of just over 1,000 people.
