Linden, CA

Linden is a city located in Contra Costa County, California. As of the 2010 census, the city had a population of 36,815. The current mayor is Don Perata. Linden was founded by Charles Henry Linden on May 12, 1887. The city was initially known as " Linden Station" after its founder. In 1917, the town changed its name to honor its founder's son, Lewis Linden Jr., who had died in World War I at the age of 23.

Today, Linden is known for its many shopping centers and upscale homes in the surrounding hillsides. It is also home to several small businesses and two major hospitals - John Muir Medical Center and Kaiser Permanente Medical Center - as well as a number of schools including Skyline High School and Oak Grove Elementary School.

The real estate market in Linden has seen steady growth over recent years due to increasing demand from both locals and out-of-towners alike.
