Mansfield Center, CT

Mansfield Center is a town in Hartford County, Connecticut, United States. The population was 10,827 at the 2010 census. Mansfield Center is located in the northwest corner of Hartford County and is bordered by Tolland and Windham counties to the north, east, and south respectively.

The town was first settled in 1786 as part of Tolland County. It was incorporated as a separate town in 1851. Mansfield Center has been home to many businesses including a paper mill (now closed), an automobile plant (now closed), a textile mill (now closed), and a shoe factory (now closed). The town's economy has been based on manufacturing since its early days. However, with the decline of these industries over time, Mansfield Center has turned to other businesses such as health care and technology.

Today, Mansfield Center is home to several large corporations including GE Healthcare and Symantec Corporation which have established offices in the town. Additionally, there are several small businesses that provide services to these larger companies. The town also has a number of churches and schools which serve its population well.
