South Windsor is a town in Windham County, Connecticut, United States. The population was 10,827 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Hartford–West Hartford–East Hartford metropolitan area.

The town was first settled in 1764 by Ebenezer and Jonathan Edwards, who were among the founders of Windsor. The town was incorporated in 1802 from parts of Windsor and East Windsor. The town's name comes from the English county of Berkshire.

According to the United States Census Bureau, the town has a total area of , all land. South Windsor borders Bloomfield to the north; Manchester to the east; Simsbury to the south; and West Hartford to the west.
