Apollo Beach, FL

Apollo Beach is a town located in Pasco County, Florida. The population was 10,851 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Tampa-St. Petersburg- Clearwater, FL Metropolitan Statistical Area.

The town of Apollo Beach was founded in 1892 by Charles and Addie Ketchum as a small fishing village on the Gulf of Mexico. The town quickly grew as a tourist destination due to its beautiful white sand beaches and clear blue waters. In 1915, a hotel was built that would become one of the most popular resorts in the area.

Today, Apollo Beach remains an attractive vacation spot with plenty to do for visitors of all ages. There are several restaurants and shops available for tourists to enjoy, as well as several public beaches where they can swim or sunbathe without having to worry about crowds or expensive fees.

Apollo Beach is also home to many luxury homes that can be found on either the oceanfront or inland properties near shopping malls and other attractions. Because of its close proximity to Tampa Bay and St Petersburg/ Clearwater International Airport, it has become a popular place for people who work in those cities but want to escape during their free time.
