Eagle Lake, FL

Eagle Lake is a small town located in Citrus County, Florida. The population of Eagle Lake was 1,527 at the 2010 census. The town is known for its lakes and golf courses.

The history of Eagle Lake can be traced back to the early 1800s when settlers began to arrive in the area. In 1892, the first post office was established in Eagle Lake and it remained open until 1966. In 1917, a dam was built on Eagle Creek and the town began to grow as a result.

Today, there are many businesses located in Eagle Lake including restaurants, banks, and convenience stores. The main industries in the town are tourism and agriculture. There are several lakes located within Eagle Lake including Big Bear Lake, Little Bear Lake, Deer Run lake, and Blue Heron lake.
