Buckhead, GA

When people think of Atlanta, they often think of the bustling downtown area with its many skyscrapers and busy streets. However, one of the city's most popular neighborhoods is Buckhead. This affluent area is home to some of Atlanta's most luxurious homes and businesses.

Buckhead was originally farmland, but in the early 1900s it began to grow as a suburb of Atlanta. The community was first developed by the Paces family in 1922. At that time, it consisted mostly of single-family homes and small businesses. In the 1950s, Buckhead began to experience rapid growth as a result of its proximity to downtown Atlanta and its excellent schools. By 1970, the population had reached 23,000 residents.

Today, Buckhead remains one of Atlanta's most affluent neighborhoods with a population of over 60,000 residents. It is home to many high-end shops and restaurants as well as some world-renowned institutions such as Emory University and Children's Healthcare Of Atlanta Hospital. Many famous celebrities also call Buckhead home including Oprah Winfrey, Donald Trump Jr., and Jamie Foxx.

One reason why Buckhead continues to be so popular is because it offers everything that a suburban community should have: excellent schools for children, plenty of shopping options, and plenty of green space for recreation. Additionally, because it is located close to downtown Atlanta (just 15 minutes away), there are always plenty of attractions available for residents to enjoy no matter what time of year it is.
