Mansfield, GA

Mansfield is a city located in the northeast corner of Fulton County, Georgia, United States. As of the 2010 census, the population was 21,876. Mansfield is a principal city of the Atlanta-Sandy Springs- Roswell Metropolitan Statistical Area.

The city was founded in 1892 by J.C. Mansfield and named for his father-in-law, Samuel Mansfield. The town's early economy was based on cotton production and milling; however, with the decline of cotton as an industry after World War II, Mansfield began to diversify its economy into other sectors such as health care and technology services. In recent years, Mansfield has seen an increase in residential development as well as businesses in fields such as banking and insurance.

Real estate is one of the most important industries in Mansfield; it accounts for more than 20% of the city's total economic output. The city has experienced steady growth over the past several years due to its many amenities and its proximity to Atlanta and other major metropolitan areas.
