Woodstock, GA

Woodstock is a small town located in the northwest corner of Fulton County, Georgia. The population was 2,868 at the 2010 census. Woodstock is known for its scenic beauty and its many antique shops. It is also home to several large estates that are open to the public.

The history of Woodstock can be traced back to 1827 when General James Oglethorpe founded the town on land donated by Creek Chief Tomochichi. The town's name was changed to Woodstock in honor of England's Prince William Henry, Duke of Gloucester and Edinburgh, who visited Georgia in 1785. In 1892, a railroad line was built through Woodstock and it became an important transportation hub for the area.

Today, Woodstock is a thriving small town with a rich history. It is home to several antique shops, restaurants, and galleries that attract tourists from all over the country.
