Hoffman Estates, IL

Hoffman Estates is a suburb of Chicago, Illinois. The population was 31,814 at the 2010 census. Hoffman Estates is located in Cook County and includes portions of unincorporated DuPage County.

The area that now comprises Hoffman Estates was first settled in the 1830s by German immigrants. The village of Hoffman Estates was founded in 1892 and named for Julius Hoffman, a real estate developer who had purchased land in the area. In 1909, the village became an incorporated town.

Today, Hoffman Estates is a thriving suburban community with many well-maintained homes and attractive neighborhoods. The community's commercial center features several shopping malls and restaurants as well as banks, insurance companies, and other businesses. There are also several parks and recreational facilities available to residents of Hoffman Estates.
