Franklin, KS

Franklin is a small town in southeastern Kansas, located about halfway between Wichita and Topeka. The population was 2,814 at the 2010 census.

The town's economy is based largely on agriculture and real estate. Franklin is home to several agricultural businesses, including a cattle feedlot, a dairy, and a corn mill. The town also has several small businesses that provide real estate services.

The Franklin area was first settled in the early 1800s by pioneers from Kentucky and Tennessee. The town was named for Benjamin Franklin, one of the Founding Fathers of the United States. Franklin was incorporated as a city in 1892.

Today, Franklin is a quiet community with many historic buildings and attractions. The downtown area features several restaurants and stores, as well as the city hall and police department headquarters. There are also several parks in the area that offer recreational opportunities such as fishing, hiking, biking, and golfing.
