Havana, KS

Havana, KS is a small town located in the Flint Hills of Kansas. The population was just over 1,000 people as of the 2010 census. Havana is known for its real estate and has been a popular destination for buyers and sellers since the early 1900s.

The history of Havana can be traced back to 1879 when a group of settlers from New York City arrived in the area. They named their settlement after Havana, Cuba, where they had recently visited on vacation. The town grew slowly at first, but began to take off in the 1920s when it became an agricultural center for nearby farms. In 1929, Havana incorporated as a city and by 1940 it had reached its current population size of 1,000 people.
