Millington, MD

Millington is a town in Carroll County, Maryland, United States. The population was 10,816 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Baltimore-Washington Metropolitan Area.

The town was founded in 1792 and named for its first settler, Ebenezer Millington. The town's economy has traditionally been based on agriculture and manufacturing; however, since the 1990s it has experienced significant growth as a result of suburbanization and increased demand for housing within commuting distance of Baltimore. Today Millington is home to many large corporations including Lockheed Martin and Medtronic as well as smaller businesses such as a winery and a bakery.
