Alger, MI

Real estate in Alger, MI is a hot commodity. With a population of just over 2,000 people, the town has seen an influx of new residents in recent years thanks to its close proximity to Detroit and Lansing. This has led to a shortage of homes for sale, and prices have soared accordingly.

Alger is located in Livingston County just north of Detroit. The town is bordered by I-75 on the west, I-94 on the east, and M-59 on the south. There are several schools in Alger including Alger Middle School and Alger High School which serve students from pre-kindergarten through 12th grade. The town also has a small library which offers public access to books and magazines.

The economy in Alger is based largely on agriculture with crops such as soybeans, corn, wheat and alfalfa being grown commercially.
