Cedar, MI

Cedar is a small town in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan with a population of just over 2,000 people. It is located in the northern part of the state, about an hour north of Marquette and two hours south of Sault Ste. Marie. The town was founded in 1875 and was originally named Cedarville after the cedar trees that grew in the area. Over time, however, it became known as Cedar because of the many cedar trees that line its streets.

Today, Cedar is a small town with a lot of character. It has a number of businesses that are locally owned and operated, including a grocery store, gas station, hardware store, bakery, and several restaurants. There are also several churches and schools in Cedar.

The main industry in Cedar is tourism. The town has several attractions that make it popular with visitors: including Cedar Falls (a waterfall on the Keweenaw Waterway), Cedar Lake (a natural lake), and Mount Bohemia (a peak at 6051 feet). There are also several hiking trails in the area that are perfect for exploring by foot or bike.
