Dearborn, MI

Dearborn is a city located in Wayne County, Michigan, United States. As of the 2010 census, the city had a population of 97,777. It is the largest city in Wayne County and the fourth-largest city in Michigan. The municipality was founded on July 24, 1817 as a village by General Henry Dearborn and his wife Elizabeth Schuyler. The city was incorporated as a city on April 22, 1897.

The economy of Dearborn is based largely on automotive manufacturing and services. Ford Motor Company has its headquarters in Dearborn; it employs more than 10,000 people there. Other major employers include GM's Cadillac division (2,500 employees), Honda of America (1,500 employees), and Magna International (1,000 employees). In addition to manufacturing plants and service centers, Dearborn also has an extensive research and development infrastructure that supports both domestic automakers and global automakers such as Toyota Motor Corporation and Volkswagen AG.
