Jackson, MI

Jackson is a city located in the U.S. state of Michigan. As of the 2010 census, the city had a population of 83,813. The city is the county seat of Jackson County and is home to Eastern Michigan University.

Jackson has been designated as a "Tree City USA" by the National Arbor Day Foundation for 25 consecutive years. The city's nickname, "The Forest City", comes from its history as a logging town and its abundance of trees. Today, Jackson is known for its many parks and gardens, including Washington Park and Elmwood Cemetery.
