National City, MI

National City is a city located in the eastern suburbs of Detroit, Michigan. The population was 33,827 at the 2010 census. National City is a suburb of Detroit and is part of Wayne County. The city was founded in 1881 and named for National City Bank, which had its headquarters in Detroit at the time.

National City is home to several large retail stores such as Meijer, Walmart, Target and Kmart as well as a number of restaurants including Olive Garden, Red Lobster and Applebee's. The city also has a number of smaller businesses including car dealerships, banks and other financial institutions.
