Trout Creek, MI

Trout Creek is a small town in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. It is located about an hour north of the state capital, Lansing. The population was 1,827 at the 2010 census.

The town's economy is based on agriculture and tourism. Trout Creek has several businesses that provide services to tourists, such as a bed and breakfast, a restaurant, and a store that sells souvenirs and crafts made by local artists. The town also has two hotels: the Trout Creek Inn and the Trout Creek Resort & Spa.

The main attraction in Trout Creek is its trout fishing. The trout are stocked in several lakes in the area, including Lake Superior State Park and Lake Huron State Park. There are also several private ponds where anglers can fish for trout.

Trout Creek is also home to several museums: the Trout Creek Historical Museum houses exhibits about local history; the Trout Creek Arts Center features art from local artists; and there is also a museum dedicated to trains, which operates out of an old railroad depot that was once used by the logging industry.
