White Pine, MI

White Pine is a small town in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. It is located on the eastern shore of Lake Superior, about halfway between Sault Ste. Marie and Marquette. The population was 1,811 at the 2010 census. White Pine has a long history as a lumber town, and its economy is still based largely on that industry. However, since the late 1990s there has been a gradual shift to other sectors, including real estate.

The town's main street is lined with small businesses: hardware stores, restaurants, banks, and clothing stores. There are also several motels and rental properties scattered throughout the town. The downtown area has been renovated in recent years and now features several restaurants and boutiques as well as a movie theater and ice cream parlor.

The real estate market in White Pine is healthy; homes are selling quickly and prices are high relative to incomes. The town's location on one of the most beautiful lakes in America makes it an attractive place to live or invest in property.
