Braham is a small town located in Hennepin County, Minnesota. The population was 1,811 at the 2010 census. Braham is home to the Braham Public Library and the Braham Historical Museum.
The first settlers arrived in 1855 and established a sawmill and gristmill on the banks of the Braham River. The town was officially platted in 1858 and named for William Braham, an early settler. A post office was established in 1860, and by 1870 there were enough people living in Braham to form a school district. The railroad reached Braham in 1886, providing additional economic opportunities for the community.
Today, Braham is primarily a residential community with businesses located along Main Street. The town's main attractions are its public library and historical museum which offer exhibits on local history as well as regional artifacts from Minnesota's pioneer days.
