Cold Spring, MN

Cold Spring is a small town located in Hennepin County, Minnesota. The population was 1,827 at the 2010 census. It is the county seat of Hennepin County.

The town was founded in 1858 and named for the cold springs near its original location. The first post office opened in 1859. The town grew rapidly after the arrival of the railroad in 1883, and by 1890 had a population of 1,500. It incorporated as a city in 1903.
