Evansville is a city located in southwestern Minnesota. The population was 49,912 as of the 2010 census. It is the county seat of Vanderburgh County and is adjacent to Indianapolis, IN. Evansville has a long history dating back to the 1800s when it was founded as a trading post on the St. Joseph River by Jesse Nutter and others.
