Medford, MN

Medford is a city located in Hennepin County, Minnesota, United States. The population was 33,929 at the 2010 census. It is the county seat of Hennepin County.

The city of Medford was founded in 1856 and incorporated as a village in 1872. It became a city in 1903. The city's economy has been based on agriculture and manufacturing; however, since the 1990s it has diversified into health care and technology industries. Medford is home to two Fortune 500 companies: Medtronic and 3M Company.

Real estate prices have increased significantly over the past decade in Medford due to its proximity to Minneapolis- Saint Paul and its excellent schools ( Medford School District #221 ranks first out of all school districts in Minnesota). Many new homes are being built on large lots near parks or lakes which are popular with families looking for suburban living without having to leave the city limits. There is also a growing demand for townhomes and apartments close to downtown Medford as well as quick access to I-94 and Highway 55/Hwy 169
