Indianola, MS

Indianola is a small town located in the Mississippi Delta region. The population of Indianola was just over 10,000 in 2010. The town is situated on the banks of the Pearl River and has a rich history dating back to the early 1800s.

The first settlers in Indianola were cotton farmers who arrived in 1817. The town quickly grew as a trading center for goods produced in the surrounding area. In 1835, Indianola was designated as the county seat of Kemper County and it has remained that way ever since.

Today, Indianola is an important commercial center for the surrounding area and is home to several businesses including a bank, a hospital, and several restaurants.
