Lake Cormorant, MS

Lake Cormorant is a small town located in Harrison County, Mississippi. The population was 1,812 at the 2010 census. It is the county seat of Harrison County.

The town was founded in 1892 by J.D. and Lillie Cormorant and named for their daughter, Lake Cormorant. The town's economy is based on agriculture and tourism. Lake Cormorant is home to the Lake Cormorant Resort which includes a casino, golf course, marina, and convention center as well as several restaurants and shops.
