Waveland, MS

Waveland is a small town located in Jackson County, Mississippi. The population was just over 2,000 as of the 2010 census. Waveland is known for its historic downtown district and its many antique shops. The town's economy is based largely on tourism and real estate.

The Waveland Historic District was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1978. The district includes more than 100 buildings, most of which were built between 1820 and 1880. The district is notable for its architecture, including examples of Greek Revival, Italianate, and Gothic Revival styles. Many of the buildings are now used as businesses or residences; others have been converted into museums or galleries.

Real estate in Waveland has always been an important part of the town's economy. In recent years, however, it has become even more important due to the growth of tourism and antique shopping in the area. There are a number of properties available for sale in Waveland; most are single-family homes or apartments that can be used for vacation rentals or long-term housing arrangements.
