Halltown is a small town located in the southern part of Missouri. The population of Halltown was just over 1,000 people as of the 2010 census. The town is located on U.S. Route 61 and is about an hour from St. Louis, Missouri.

The history of Halltown can be traced back to 1836 when Joseph Cramer and his wife, Elizabeth, purchased land in the area that would later become Halltown. The Cramers were German immigrants who settled in what would eventually become known as "Little Germany." In 1871, the railroad was built through Halltown and it began to grow rapidly as a result. By 1900, Halltown had a population of 2,500 people and it continued to grow rapidly throughout the early 20th century.

Today, Halltown is still a small town but it has experienced significant growth over the past few years due to its proximity to St. Louis and its many amenities such as shopping malls and restaurants. There are currently several developments underway in Halltown that will further increase its population size and make it one of the most vibrant towns in southern Missouri
