Madison, NJ

Madison is a city located in Morris County, New Jersey, United States. As of the 2010 United States Census, the city's population was 33,812,[1] reflecting an increase of 2,527 (+9.2%) from the 32,262 counted in the 2000 Census.[4]

Madison was founded by General James Robertson in 1794 and named for James Madison, fourth President of the United States. The city was incorporated as a borough on March 4, 1894.[5] It became a city on April 1, 1926.[6] Madison is part of the New York metropolitan area and is home to several Fortune 500 companies including Abbott Laboratories and Johnson & Johnson.
