Sedan, NM

Sedan is a small town located in the eastern part of New Mexico. The population of Sedan was just over 2,000 people as of the 2010 census. Sedan is located in Lincoln County and has a total area of just over 1 square mile. The town is situated on the banks of the Rio Grande River and is surrounded by rolling hills and farmland.

The history of Sedan dates back to 1881 when it was founded as a railroad stop. At that time, Sedan consisted of just a few buildings and was home to only a few hundred people. However, over the years, Sedan has grown considerably due to its location close to major transportation routes and its proximity to agricultural areas. Today, Sedan is home to several businesses and organizations, including an agricultural cooperative, two churches, two schools (one K-12 and one post-secondary), a grocery store, an ice cream shop, and several small businesses.
