Norwich, NY

Norwich is a city located in the state of New York. It is situated on the eastern bank of the Norwich River, about 25 miles north of Albany and 50 miles south of Syracuse. The population was estimated at 62,812 as of the 2010 census. Norwich has been an important commercial center since colonial times, and its location at the intersection of major transportation routes has made it a focal point for trade and commerce.

The city's economy is based largely on its role as a distribution center for goods produced in upstate New York and Pennsylvania. Major employers include J&J Snack Foods, BAE Systems Global Solutions, Norfolk Southern Corporation, and General Electric Capital Services.
