Spencertown, NY

Spencertown is a small town located in the Catskill Mountains of New York. The population is just over 1,000 people and the median age is about 55 years old. The town has a small commercial district that includes a post office, two general stores, and a few restaurants. There are also several homes for sale in Spencertown, but the majority of sales are in the summer months when tourists come to visit.

The primary industry in Spencertown is tourism. The town has several attractions that draw visitors including the Catskill Mountain House and Spa, which was once owned by Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis; the Spencertown Lighthouse; and Lake George Village which features shops, restaurants, and hotels. In addition to tourism, there is also some agriculture in Spencertown including dairy farming and apple orchards.

There are several neighborhoods in Spencertown including Main Street which has many older homes; Maple Avenue which has newer homes; Greenbush Road which features mostly single-family homes; Indian Ladder Road which has mostly vacation rentals; and Bear Path Road which has mainly condos/townhouses.
