Vernon, NY

Vernon is a small town located in the Finger Lakes region of New York. The population is just over 10,000 people and there are only about 100 homes for sale in Vernon. The real estate market in Vernon is very competitive and prices for homes range from $150,000 to $1 million.

The main attraction to living in Vernon is the close proximity to many popular tourist destinations, including Rochester, Syracuse, and Ithaca. Additionally, Vernon is located within easy driving distance of both Lake Ontario and the Finger Lakes region's famous wineries.

The downside to living in Vernon is that it can be quite rural and there isn't much to do in the town itself other than shop at local stores or attend local events. Additionally, because Vernon is so small, it can be difficult to find a job if you don't live here full-time.
