Cuyahoga Falls is a city in Cuyahoga County, Ohio, United States. The population was 33,929 at the 2010 census. It is the county seat of Cuyahoga County. The city is located on the southern edge of Cleveland and northeast of Akron.

The city was founded in 1825 by David Shreve as a village on the banks of the Cuyahoga River and incorporated as a town in 1836. It became an industrial center due to its location on the Great Lakes shipping route and its access to water power from the river. Manufacturing plants produced textiles, machinery, and other goods until they were replaced by more modern factories during World War II.
