Cuyahoga Falls is a city in Cuyahoga County, Ohio, United States. The population was 33,929 at the 2010 census. It is the county seat of Cuyahoga County. The city is located on the southern edge of Cleveland and northeast of Akron.

The city was founded in 1825 by David Shreve as a village on the banks of the Cuyahoga River and incorporated as a town in 1836. It became an industrial center due to its location on the Great Lakes shipping route and its access to water power from the river. Manufacturing plants produced textiles, machinery, and other goods until they were replaced by more modern factories during World War II. After World War II, Cuyahoga Falls experienced a period of decline as it lost many manufacturing jobs to overseas competition; however, it has since rebounded with new businesses in information technology and biomedical engineering.

Real estate is one of the most important industries in Cuyahoga Falls; according to Forbes magazine, it has been ranked as one of America's top ten "Best Places for Business and Careers" four times since 2002. In 2009, Kiplinger's Personal Finance magazine named Cuyahoga Falls one of America's "100 Best Communities for Families." The city's economy has been bolstered by investments from companies such as General Electric (GE) and Ford Motor Company (F), which have established facilities here that produce high-tech products such as jet engines and automobiles. In addition, several medical technology firms have opened offices here in recent years because of its excellent medical facilities and skilled workforce.
