Munroe Falls, OH

Munroe Falls is a small town in Summit County, Ohio, located about 25 miles east of Akron. The population was 1,812 at the 2010 census. Munroe Falls is home to the historic Munroe Falls Hotel and the popular Munroe Falls Golf Course.

The town's economy is based largely on tourism and real estate. The Munroe Falls Hotel has been in operation since 1892 and is one of the oldest continuously operating hotels in Ohio. The hotel has been renovated several times over the years, most recently in 2002. It features 116 guest rooms and suites, a restaurant, a bar, meeting facilities, and an indoor pool. The golf course opened in 1922 and was originally designed by noted golf architect Donald Ross. It underwent a major renovation in 2006 that included new greens and fairways as well as updated clubhouse facilities. The course is open to the public for play 365 days a year.
