Sterling, OH

Sterling is a small town located in northeastern Ohio. The population was 2,912 at the 2010 census. Sterling is located at 41°5′N 83°24′W.

The history of Sterling can be traced back to 1814 when the area was first settled by pioneers. The town was originally called "New Sterling" and was renamed in 1825 after Lord Sterling, a British statesman and Prime Minister. The town's early economy depended on agriculture and manufacturing, but today it is primarily a bedroom community for Cleveland.

Today, Sterling is home to several businesses and attractions that make it a desirable place to live or visit. These include the Sterling Country Club, which features an 18-hole golf course; the Greater Cleveland Aquarium; and the historic downtown district with its many shops, restaurants, and galleries.
