The Changing Face of Broken Arrow

Broken Arrow is a city located in Tulsa County, Oklahoma, United States. As of the 2010 census, the population was 69,521. The city is named after Broken Arrow Creek which runs through it.

The first settlers arrived in Broken Arrow in 1887. The town was founded by Charles N. Haskell and A. J. McQueen as a trading post on the Santa Fe Trail. In 1892, Broken Arrow became the county seat of Tulsa County when it was moved from Muskogee due to its proximity to railroads and other businesses. In 1906, oil was discovered near Broken Arrow and the town began to grow rapidly as a result. Today, oil remains one of the major sources of revenue for the city; however, other industries such as manufacturing and agriculture have also become important contributors to the economy.

Real estate in Broken Arrow is typically priced lower than that found in more affluent areas such as Tulsa or Oklahoma City; this is likely due to Broken Arrow's proximity to Tulsa International Airport and its status as an industrial hub rather than a cosmopolitan center like those two cities. Additionally, many homes in Broken Arrow are older and may not be up-to-date with current trends; consequently, they may not be as popular among buyers who are looking for high-end properties. Nonetheless, there are plenty of options available for buyers who are interested in purchasing a home in this city; moreover, prices have been slowly increasing over recent years so there should be no shortage of options when it comes to finding a property that meets your needs and budget."
