Cement, OK

Cement is a small town located in Pottawatomie County, Oklahoma. The population was 1,811 at the 2010 census. It is the county seat of Pottawatomie County. Cement was founded in 1892 and named for the cement plant that opened nearby in 1893.

The town's economy is based on agriculture, with crops such as cotton, corn, wheat and sorghum grown on local farms. There are also cattle and horse ranches in the area. The town also has a small industrial park that houses a cement plant operated by Cemex USA, as well as several other businesses.
