Bradford, PA

Bradford is a city in and the county seat of Bradford County, Pennsylvania, United States. The population was 21,972 at the 2010 census. It is located about 25 miles south of Philadelphia and 10 miles north of Lancaster.

Bradford has been inhabited by humans for over 4,000 years. The area was first settled by the Lenni Lenape tribe in the early 17th century. Bradford became an important hub for trade on the North American continent due to its location along major transportation routes. Bradford's economy was based largely on agriculture until the late 19th century when it began to industrialize. Today, Bradford is a center for health care, education, and business services.
