Jefferson is a borough in Jefferson County, Pennsylvania, United States. The population was 2,812 at the 2010 census.

The borough was founded in 1798 and named for Thomas Jefferson, third President of the United States. The borough's economy is based on agriculture and tourism. It is home to the Jefferson County Fairgrounds and the Jefferson County Historical Society Museum.
