Kenton, TN

Kenton is a city located in Kenton County, Tennessee, United States. The population was 10,811 at the 2010 census. It is the county seat of Kenton County.

The city was founded in 1821 and named for General James Kenton. The first post office opened in 1822. The city's economy has been based on agriculture and manufacturing until recent years when it has become more diversified with businesses such as health care and technology.
