Baytown is a city located in Harris County, Texas. As of the 2010 census, the population was 129,527. Baytown is the largest city in Harris County and one of the ten most populous cities in Texas. The city is home to two Fortune 500 companies: ExxonMobil Corporation and Freeport-McMoRan Inc.

Baytown's economy is based on oil production and related industries. The city has a diversified industrial base that includes chemical manufacturing, food processing, aerospace engineering, and petroleum refining. Baytown also has a growing medical center with hospitals including Houston Methodist Hospital and Memorial Hermann Hospital System.
