Falcon Heights, TX

Falcon Heights is a city located in Hays County, Texas, United States. The population was 11,928 at the 2010 census. Falcon Heights is part of the Austin– Round Rock metropolitan area.

Falcon Heights was founded in 1907 and named for the falcons that nested near the town site. The city's early economy was based on agriculture and livestock. In the 1960s, Falcon Heights began to experience rapid growth as it became an affluent suburb of Austin. Today, Falcon Heights is home to many high-end homes and businesses, as well as a number of schools and parks.

The real estate market in Falcon Heights is very competitive with prices ranging from $200,000 to over $1 million per acre. Homes are typically built on large lots and feature gated communities or security systems. Many residents commute to work in downtown Austin or other parts of Travis County.
