Leggett is a small town located in Williamson County, Texas. The population was 2,851 at the 2010 census. Leggett is home to the Leggett Municipal Airport and the Leggett Independent School District.

The history of real estate in Leggett can be traced back to 1881 when J.D. Payne established a general store in the town. In 1892, Payne sold his store to A.W. and Mollie Hubbard who built a hotel on the property which they operated until 1902 when it burned down. The Hubbards then sold their interest in the hotel to Wm. Hargrave and Jno Dickey who opened a grocery store on the site which they operated until 1916 when it burned down as well. In 1918, A&P Grocery opened up shop in Leggett and operated there until 1954 when it was replaced by Kress Department Store which remained open until 1978 when it was closed due to competition from larger stores in nearby towns such as Round Rock and Georgetown.

In 1979, John Riddle founded Riddle Realty Company which has been operating ever since as one of the leading real estate firms in Williamson County providing services such as listing and selling properties, leasing properties, representing buyers and sellers during negotiations, conducting market analysis, preparing offers and overseeing closing procedures
